I'm working on a type set from Draped Bust to Walking Liberty. I want the 5 main Capped Bust as well as the
5 Seated so this will take a while. Coin album

Nice pics. That's an awesome reeded edge. That's a nice die break on the reverse.

The fact that you are going to obtain several of the sub-types for the CBH series is quite nice, as most folks don't do that.

What are the "5" types? I'm doing three for my set: 50 C., 50 CENTS, and HALF DOL. Are there others beyond that? QDB in his Type Set Red Book lists only those three.

Half dollars are king. Just the perfect size and many different series. Beautiful coins you have.

There are many folks who break the CBH series into eight sub-types, but most people only collect one of these for type purposes. The groups can be broken down as-

    Type 1; 1807-1808
    Type 2; 1808-1811
    Type 3; 1812-1817
    Type 4; 1817-1824
    Type 5; 1825-1831
    Type 6; 1832-1834
    Type 7; 1832-1834
    Type 8; 1834-1836

These sub-types can be distinguished by modifications to the design elements and not all of them are so obvious that most people would classify them as individual sub-types. For my own collection, I would think that five or six of these sub-types are different enough for mention.

I assume you are starting with Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle coins.

Those Small Eagles could be rather lethal on one's budget. image
