I've got one that's already in PCGS MS66 plastic.

I'm sending it next week along with a dozen or so others for the VAM attribution reholdering.

Trust me, it's a lock... in the holder. In person it flirts seriously with 66. Heck, if it was a CC it would flirt with 67

All I'm saying is that NGC coins, no matter how pretty they look to you and I, do not often cross to PCGS if left in the NGC plastic. Crack it out, and it is another matter entirely, as I'm sure you're aware.

But you didn't answer my question -- do you want to wager?

By the way, I've sent in 7 NGC coins (in the holder) this year for crossover. One lost a PL designation but came back the same grade. Five came back the same grade. One came back a point higher.

Mike, I gotta say I'm on Dennis's side of the action here. He knows Morgans. I'll wager lunch at the Palm Beach show next month this coin goes at least 65.

Alas, I won't be at FUN this year. I'll be having one of those inspection procedures which all of us guys who, upon turning 50 and promising our wives we'll have a full physical done, wish we could skip out of.

On the bright side, however, I'll be the butt of jokes for a while.

by Jeff Oxman, Michael Fey, Ph.D., and the Society of Silver Dollar Collectors. The FUN convention is the site for the 3rd annual VAM meeting for advanced Morgan and Peace dollar variety collectors. It promises to be a bonanza for the dollar variety enthusiast! Room 220C.

Yes, the "VAM Thing" is at the end of the day on Friday, 4PM. That end slot was secured so we could remain in the room longer rather than vacate for someone else's meeting. Expect some trading activity after the meeting. This should be a good one too.

The other silver dollar events are the NSDR awards banquet at 7:00 on Friday for members with tickets at Ruth's Chris Steak House and an investors' forum hosted by Al Johnbrier and Randy Campbell ay 3pm on Saturday. (The NSDR table is 552.)

I, for one, look forward to meeting some more VAMers there and put faces to the people. I usually only see the regulars that show up at Long Beach.
