Pricing help on a 1910 Mexican Un Peso.

A friend found this coin in a box and wanted to know more about it. It's dated 1910 and has a picture of a woman on horseback with the suns rays in the background. Lettered edge "INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD" and it's about the size of an Ike dollar. Gradewise I would say about VF.

Any info and pricing would be great. Thanks.

The 1910 Caballito Peso (1910-14) lists at $30 in VF in the 2006 Standard Catalog of World Coins.

Thanks Brad. Is there much of a drop off in lower grades?

Krause only lists the following: BU $250, Unc $155, XF $45, VF $30.
The best pricing estimates may come from similar pieces on ebay.com.
It's a popular design so some actual prices may be above Krause estimates.
There were 3.814 million minted that year, more than any other year of the 5 year design span.

This is one of my favorite coins. High end uncs are not too common. Neither are high end crcs that are original

They are pretty neat looking coins. The lady that found it in her drawer (she's the secretary at my work so she signs for all the packages I get) thought of me before she threw it out. It's in a little bit better shape than this one. She already told me she'd give it to me but I told her to wait until I found a rough value. I'll probably buy it from her tomorrow.

Thanks for the help.

I've done it before for a friend.
