Collecting yearly issues...

Does anyone else collect a specific type of coins in the purpose of getting one from each year that they where made in? Would be interesteing to hear what kind of coins you thus collect in.

I myself have a collection where I try to accuire every 1-krona/krone/korona coin made worldwide from every year. As for now, among some few other ones, Im trying to obtain some nice 1-krone coins from Liechtenstein. image

You mean, collecting a series by date?

I don't, but have often thought that a date set of Mexico City colonial coins might be fun. Either half-reales or 1- or 2-reales coins.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

I collect German 25 pfennigs by date and mint mark. The good thing about this series is that there are only 21 different coinsimage I am missing one from the series. If anyone knows where a 1910D in proof is, let me know. 3Mark

I collect German Third Reich 2 & 5 Reichmark coins by date...all types and all mints. There are several types; 2 Marks include Church, Luther, Schiller & Hindenburg/swastika. 5 Marks include Church with and without date, Luther, Schiller, and Hindenburg with & without swastika. With all types, dates and mints, there are about 99 coins in the series. These are much more difficult to find in BU than you might think.

I also collect Hamburg 2-20 Marks. I don't know if I'll ever finish that one image. - Preussen

I began collecting world silver crowns of 1875, but I haven't had any luck with the Russian rouble or Japanese trade dollar (or one yen, for that matter) that I can afford.

I'm also collecting world 20 cent pieces minted between 1875 and 1878.

Collected thoose to ones. I never added a Schiller though. Sold some of my collection awhile ago in order to raise money for new coins... well I have a 2-rm Luther left anyway to remember that collection by. image
