Here's a picture of my silver coin collection, mostly US gold coins. I have a 66% silver german coin from boom, and a proof 1964 all silver quarter. I also have 2 mexican silver coins, one of them is the classical huge silver coin made by mexico or spain or whereever the mint is..
What do you thikn of it? I tried to make the pictures as clear as I could but this camera wont focus that well up close on coins.

I can't quite open it from here.
<< <i>Does it work now? Or still a red x? >>
Yes.
<< <i>The file points to your E drive.

I right clicked on it on photobucket and put the URL in. Can you see the photo now?

Yes.
I wish I didn't have these problems..
Yes it works? Or yes it still has a red x?
<< <i>I like it all exept the painted silver eagle. >>
Thanks! I got the painted eagle from boom for a swap. Boom had some great coins, but I didn't like the painted one either. It's still an ASE though! Which coin is your favorite
<< <i>Neat! I like the seated half dollar! >>
Thanks. It's been polished. I have an uncle who is a MAJOR collector of coins. When I was young like 6 to 8 when I started on coins I was relaly into it, and he sent me several coins. Including a DMPL morgan, which is now, unfortunately, lost much of its luster.
Is the half dollar a common date?
Never bothered to find out.
Sorry the text is blurred, this is what it says:
"This medallion contains metal from both apollo and soyuz that joined together in the first international manned space mission July 15-24, 1975"
Bottom of the coin says the same thing but in russian.

<< <i>I like the seated half and then the bust dime. You have a nice start! >>
Thanks! The bust dime was around 30 dollars in the bad condition it is in. Those busts are expensive!
'Thank you for your contribution toward making the approach and landing tests of the space shuttle orbiter successful. We would like you to have this memente made, in part, of metal taken from the enterprise."
What do you think of this kennedy? I've had it in a plastic baggie for a bit now and it has lines going across it. Do you know what happened to it?
There was no problem with my camera. I just had to use the URL link. This has to be my best picture!

Actually I bumped it once. Maybe you shouldn't go to the buy and sell trade then, if you think I'm bad at this. I did my best to give it some time.

If you want to give it some time, give it ALL DAY! NOT A COUPLE HOURS. Other people have things to discuss here and it is rude that you think your so special you can keep your chit at the top. Give other people a fair chance!

I suggest that you take a break from the boards and practice your photography. That will give you something to do and allow us to see your coins without having you tell us what is on them. Honestly, what is the point in posting a picture of a coin if you have to tell us what it says?
Also, read a book on collecting. I suggest One Minute Coin Expert. That would give you some insights on the market, gold, and it would at least show you not to hold your coins in your palm...
Also, what is with the "RUSS" at the end of your title?
<< <i>Kevin, are you wanting attention? You waited an hour before bumping the thread. This isn't exactly an interactive post either... we just see pictures of your "DMPL Morgan" that is definately NOT DMPL. And unless you have been carrying it in your pocket, it wasnt ever a DMPL either.

Russ at the end of the title because I had a question about a kennedy half dollar. But I guess he doesn't care.
How dare you say it wasn't DMPL? You don't know the history behind it. It's over 10 years old now and I gotten it along time ago. As I said earlier it has deteroited in condition. It WAS DMPL and I remember what it looked like so I suggest you don't insult my uncle who gave it to me and graded it and he knows his coins. I have read books on coins and I thank you for the suggestion. The coin still has alot of luster in it but it is no longer PL as I said. I had been keeping it in a PVC flip so that couldn't help it either. I also can't take pictures well enough to show you what luster it has left.

They stopped making Morgans in 1921. This is 2005. Thats a little more than 10 years old...
<< <i>The only way that coin was ever a DMPL is if it has been severely mistreated. It has no cameo contrast and the fields arent exactly deep mirrored.. >>
No the fields arent deep mirrored. I don't know what you by severly mistreated. I did put it in a paper envolope for months, which wouldn't have helped it. Right now its not in a flip, because i think the flip discolored the coin. What I meant is I've HAD IT for 10 years, not that its 10 years old. When I got it it was DMPL, i can assure you that. There is no cameo contrast anymore, the coin has tarnished singificantly.

Even then I doubt it.
Whew needed a laugh tonight.
Thank you.

PURPLE!
The Whitman Red Books about Morgan Dollars, Type Coins, $20 Gold Pieces, etc are a great place to start. It appears to me that you have an assemblage of diverse coins with no common theme. Try putting together a collection of coins with some common shared theme, and you will be building something special as well as learning quite a bit about them.

"Luck is what happens when Preparation meets Opportunity"
the silver american eagle colorized is kind of cool too
overall a neat collection the way it is presented from all different eras of federal silver coinage
<< <i>GCL: I looked at you silver coin collection, and would respectfully suggest that you may wish to focus on a series or two (Gold and/or Silver) and begin specializing in certain areas of numismatics to learn more about them.

Yes I really don't have a collection. I guess I should start one
<< <i>Here's my former DMPL morgan. It used to have great luster. However it now has lackluster.
Semper ubi sub ubi
I'm sure you also know the difference between coins and round pieces of metal. You might want to keep the distinction in mind as you build a collection.

I have no clue what you mean by this.
I believe the statemant about knowing the differance between coins and round pieces of metal refer to the NASA medalions.
I think you have a nice collection started. The main thing is that you collect what "YOU" like. Along the way your best tool in collecting will be the knowledge you gain along the way.
