PVC damage in slabbed coins.

Hi, I was wondering if minor PVC damage in slabs is a common thing.
I had gotten a 1946 S PCGS MS63 quarter from a reputable member here on a swap and there is some whitish mold like stuff growing on the coin when tilted under the light in the appropiate way. It is NOT green.
How does this white stuff grow on coins after they are slabbed and why? It was obviously not on the coin before it was slabbed it mustve grown in the slab.
thank you

What does everyone else thinK? Will they uphold their policy when they graded a problem coin? or a cleaned coin that turned and they didn't catch it?

Yes, he likes to ask questions multiple times.
I agree, send it in for the guarantee.
If it's really PVC and not residue from improperly dipping the coin, then you can remove it with acetone (take it out of the slab first ). But that won't rescue the coin if it's already been damaged by the PVC; it'll just remove the PVC contamination (which should be done in any case).

Indeed he has, and if you give it a couple weeks or so it'll be posted again.
Somewhere between now and then he will tell us how much he hates his life, hates these forums, and hates us.
