1954 Bowman baseball variations?

Anyone here collect the 1954 Bowman baseball variations? I just got a few rare ones graded (1 of 2's on three of them), and I was wondering if there is/was any interest in these variations?

The statistical variations were too trivial for me, so I passed. The others I went after, as I considered those part of the set.

edited to add- I wouldn't trust the pop report on these. I see a lot of variations that aren't identified, or are misidentified.

I consider statistical variations to be the most important variations. Considering how much attention gets paid to coloration differences in certain other cards (from '82 Topps blackless to '62 Topps green tint), a variation that is an outright change in the text of the card is highly significant and definitely real.

Well i threw them on the bay tonight, ill be interested to see what they bring. The variations I have are:

Peter Suder .978/.974 Field Avg. PSA 5 (1 of 2 known)
Whitey Lockman 102/333 Assists PSA 4 (1 of 2 known)
Billy Cox .972/960 Field Avg. PSA 5 (1 of 2 known)
Morris Martin 4.44 ERA PSA 4 (1 of 6 known, I have 2)
Alvin Dark .968/.960 Field Avg. PSA 4 (1 of 20)

I agree with Nick, however with that said 54 Bowman has almost as many variations as 90 Donruss. I think 54 Bowman has something like 40 text variations.

NO STEVE THERE ARE 41 VARIATIONS. AND THEY will BE PART OF THE MASTER SET as SOON AS PSA UNDERSTANDS THE SET.

Ron is not yelling. Not all of us here are younger people who have been typing on their computers forever. Ron is a very advanced collector - and I welcome any input that he can proffer. I think having a master list of all variations is useful - even if not everyone will collect the master set. I believe it was only in the past few years that the second variation of the Rogovin card was found, for example. That being said - I believe there are 41 variations, too. Sometimes people don't count the Piersall/Williams as a variation - so that may be the discrepancy.

Thanks for clarifying that for me MS. I too welcome Twinrons posts, as for the amount of variations I was just guessing at the amount. I knew that there was many. I was not sure if it was 37, 39, etc.

No - I'm pretty sure he lists 41, but you have to make sure to include the Piersall/Williams variation.
