Top 100 Seated Dime Varieties - I've made the access public from now on
The Liberty Seated Collector Club will publish a long article in the November issue describing the Top 100 Liberty Seated Dime Varieties. That event will be followed by a January survey of LSCC club members as to the availability of Top 100 seated dime varieties in their collections. Results are due in March and the outcome should be published later in 2006. In the Top 100 report, I will also highlight the 5 most complete sets including (weighed average grade based on rarity) and % completion.
This will be the first major survey of prominent Liberty Seated Dime varieties.
To continue the effort to publicize the Top 100 Liberty Seated Dime varieties, I've decide to make that section of my web-book public. From now on, detailed descriptions of the Top 100 varieties can be accessed at www.seateddimevarieties.com and specifically at the Major 100 Varieties link. If you have a moment and are not familiar with the seated dime series, then please feel free to browse these listings.
Here is an example of an extremely rare Liberty Seated Dime variety. The 1874 Polish Arrows obverse features left and right arrows that were lapped. The date was repunched and not the arrows. Since law required 1874 dimes to have arrows, this die appears to have been pulled from production very quickly as only three examples are known today. With new publicity, maybe more will turn up.
Here are the pictures of my ANACS AU58 example cherry picked at a recent FUN show.

I think that it is terrific that you are offering free public access to your award-winnning website. It's great for seated collectors and great for numismatics, in general.
