Littleton Coin Company-- Question

Hi just ordered a catalog from Littleton, has anyone from here done any business with them?
Are they a good business? Good merchandise? Shipping? Prices?

Thanks !!!

When the catalog arrives, use it to line the litter box.

For very common stuff. I'd say more but I don't want to get sued.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

The Coin Vault uses the Littleton catalog to justify their prices.

When first started collecting again I bought from Littleton.
I know it not my fault but the constant showering doesn't make me feel clean.
You do get "Littleton bucks" good for free products, such as a 2005 circulated penny.

I've heard that they do pay well, but are very picky.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

They do pay good prices when purchasing, but are definitely very selective.

they sell some very nice coin folders

most coin prices are 2-3 times what you can get being selective on ebay

Some of the first coins I ever bought came from Littletons. I think that was in 1963.

If Littleton has a coin that they really need they will often pay full retail prices to get them.

They advertise high buy prices, but I'm told they just cherry-pick the cream and return the rest.

    Moneyhungry,

Along with the catalog expect to recieve a selection of coins on approval. They will probably be overpriced, possibly overgraded, and you will have to pay to return them if you don't buy them.

This isn't entirely fair. They do have minimum standards that are quite high but they will
buy everything that meets those standards. Anything that can vaguely be considered a cull
    will not be wanted.
