EBAY SECOND CHANCE OFFER issues

To All:

I occasionally bid on Ebay coins and almost every time I'm an underbidder on a high priced item ($1000+), I get 1 or more "Second Chance Offers" that are NOT from the seller. I love Ebay but hate the Second Chance Offer feature as it seems its mostly just a conduit for scammers. Any thoughts? Who's actually responded and gotten taken by these scumbags?

    I've found that making genuine second chance offers has been a waste of time recently. I suspect that the scammers have scared everyone off. The scammers seem have to developed a way to pick out high priced lots in many catagories.
    All glory is fleeting.

    You might even get a second chance offer on a 1804 Dollar......it would be your lucky day that the seller just happened to have two.
