  Longacre-I noticed that also about the 43-0 LD Quarter Eagle!! It seems that coins go in spurts, you dont see any of a certain date for years and lo and behold there are three or 4 examples in a groug of auctions. It happened to me on the 1841-0 $10 in PCGS 55 I bought one from Doug about 2 months ago after not seeing one for about 3 1/2 years and then there are 2 in the ANA auctions and after the ANA there is one on Teletrade, go figure!!

  Boy, was I wrong! There are some great coins in that auction. The quarter eagles are spectacular. The 54-S quarter eagle overshadows the Little Princess (1841), and a great run of southern gold quarter eagles.
