Why has no one submitted 2005 non SMS Lincoln Cents????
There have been ONLY 6 2005 P&D cents graded in ALL grades, 6! It appears that everyone has been beating the door down over Satin 2005’s and forgetting they minted another couple of cents this year. Is there something I am missing here? I mean, I know most folks do not think it’s worth submitting these coins, but surely there are volume dealers who will submit some at perhaps a magic date? Educate me!

<< <i> No incentive to submit them since the mint set coins are given the same weight in the registry and are much easier in high grade. >>
In due time I think this will change. More business for PCGS.

<< <i>When PCGS graded them sms it surprised many of them. But by not having a coin in that part of your set, no matter what the value is, will be a detriment in the future. >>
PCGS grades them SF and the way the registry is currently configured, they are interchangeable. Unless PCGS changes that, there will never be very many of the regular coins submitted.

that's what I ask when i hear of people paying to "slab" coins minted this year.
Of course, I'm about to crack out a 210 year old coin and enjoy it raw..
