Look at this eBay auction and tell me if you see...

...any red flags.

I came across this on eBay:
MS68 St. Gaudens $20

Then I noticed:
1) 1 day auction (over the weekend)
2) No insurance offered.
3) Not one but TWO offered for sale.
4) and a history of selling cheap Disney stuff.

I'm I just being paranoid or did I learn well from the misfortunes of others on the board?

    SCAM! I don't suppose he could of cropped off "Barry Stuppler & Co." on the picture! Also, the "email me to buy it now for $5000 USD" is a dead giveaway.

    It looks to me to be a 7 day auction but that still would not make me want to bid. I agree that the two coins do not go with what seller seems to normally sell. Not sure if it is red flags but would just look elsewhere. so to answer your question yes you have learned

    Ebay scammers are so so bold now. They'll try almost anything. At any given time there are numerous pic and description rip-offs, counterfeits, and coins that there is simply no way in hell the seller has in their possession. I personally feel things have gone form bad to worse. I don't worry too much about us, but I fear for alot of the newbies. I know most of us took a few licks in the beginning, but a few licks now a days can be thousands of dollars. Very scary stuff.image

    GONE - I'm glad no one got screwed.

    Before spending time on this board, I would have seen 100% positive feedback with over 100 transactions, and thought "legit".
    Thanks for reporting it and getting it pulled. There are a couple of people out there who probably don't even realize how lucky they just got.
