Heads up- something does not look right with these rare full step Jeffersons on ebay!
These are some very tough and expensive Jeffersons. The seller only has one recent feedback, and the certification numbers on the 51-S and 60 do not match Pcgs records. The pictures are fuzzy, but to give the seller the benefit of the doubt I emailed to verify the cert numbers. Does anyone have a way to check and see if these are registered in a registry set?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

What is the number on that 60? I get 6504902?
overdrive pedal.
Since the Just Having Fun collection contains a 1956 MS67FS this auction is definitely a fraud unless JHF is selling (which I doubt) or the pop #s I have are incorrect.

"Dear seller,
It is obvious to the rare coin/Ebay community that this and your other coin listings are scams, as collectors know who the true owners of these EXACT coins are.
So, you are either an innocent party who has been asked by someone else to list these coins (which neither you nor he could possibly have and others have fallen prey to the same scenario) or you are in fact the scammer.
Either way, be aware that these auctions are being reported and that there are serious potential legal consequences involved."

Actually, it was written by a wannabe coin dealer, non-wannabe lawyer.

<< <i>I now show thatone person has bid on 2 of the coins--I wonder if the seller hijacked another acct to use as a shill bidder because the bidder has excellent numbers but has not bid on anything in a while--I am so glad you guys hipped me to this **** thanks Don/MM >>
Whatever you do Don, the 1956 is mine!

But I do see a senario that someone is going to take the money and run!

Leo - did you get a confirmation that this was, indeed, a case of a hijacked ebay account?

The actions and concerned of the people on this thread is an awesome display of brotherhood. It makes my eyes misty. I will write more later when I'm better, but for now ...
I assure you categorically that my Jefferson Nickels are NOT for sale, neither singly or as a collection.
Warm regards,
Just Having Fun
I also contacted the seller when the auction opened and told him the coins were not available. He admitted he was selling the coins for someone else. I told him to confirm the coins were available if he was going to continue the auction. Makes me wonder how innocent the seller is.
