  France is putting one out too. Here is a picture of one of the runner ups for the French one. This one wasn't chosen, supposedly because the design was too close to the rim for the people picking the coin. It was submitted by Jamie Franki, the artist who designed the 05 Bison Nickel.

  I like Franklin and it is a more interesting concept then the last few, at least to me.....
  
  The designs where in Numismatic News I know that, alas I am at work and not with my old papers.....

  I guess I skimmed over the legislation a little too fast, didn't notice that 2 coin designs are coming out. One coin will feature a youthful image of Ben and the other an older image.

  He is the only non president on both- ($100, 0.50)
  
  In 1999 SBA was on the $1 Coin but never on a bill.
  
  Other bills had non-presidents
  
  no other coins had a real person that was a non-president until SBA
  
  (The Buffalo was a composite, and not identified as any person.)

  They had design submissions a while back in CoinWorld. I especially like the reverse that was basically a continental currency replica. I hope they decide to use it. The Commem dollar spot in my 7070 is waiting for it if they do.
