Did anyone attend? I was on vacation and would like to read a show report. (Please do not tell me that they were handing out XF Dahlonega $5's at the door as attendance prizes.) image

I was there on Friday ... not sure if I will repeat or not at this point.

It was really nice to arrive there expecting free admission and finding out about the unadvertised $5 parking fee the moment I arrived at the entrance to the parking lot.

Once inside the exhibit hall, there seemed to be a real lack of attendees as the number of people wandering the bourse seemed to be about double the number of dealers present. I overheard one or two dealers complaining about the lack of business which in at least one case was no real suprise considering how overpriced most of his inventory was. As far as what I was looking for, it took quite a while to find some items at reasonable prices as some of the few dealer's tables that I stopped at were asking slightly more than full retail for mostly lackluster coins. In one case there was a dealer asking full PCGS prices plus a slight premium for mundane PCI slabbed coins ... finally found a reasonably priced raw Walking Liberty Half amongst his inventory.

All things considered, I probably did better at the Central States show in St Louis back in May, but that remains to be seen when I get my latest US sumission back.
