POLL: Any Mail Order Collectors Here?

MrEurekaMrEureka Posts: 24,790 ✭✭✭✭✭
I don't think I've bought anything from a mail order dealer since about 1976.

If you're a mail order collector, please tell us whom you like to buy from.

I have one dealer who send me an inventory list via snail mail every couple months and I send him a want list back which he then sends the coin on it for approval.

I have purchased from many different Coin World advertisers. Some individuals and some with Company names.

I buy from DLRC occasionally, or Heritage, but it does not amount to more than 1% of my purchases

Guess i'm gonna have to request the definition of "Mail Order".
If I see it on a web site, and receive it via the mail, is that a "Mail Order" deal??
Or are you talking strictly sight-unseen based on a simple description??

I've stopped buying anything I can't at least see a pic of. Too many unpleasant surprises over the years.

Same question here. Are you counting internet-based purchases? Living here in Podunk, that's where 85% or better of my purchases at least start. Mail order, as in call a place with an ad in CoinWorld? Never.

I guess all of my purchases are mail order as there are no reputable dealers close to me. I deal mainly with Paul Battaglia from Rare Coins of New Hampshire.
