fc... I've noticed that most of the gold for sale at many dealers is NGC material. I believe much of the PCGS gold is broken out and submitted to NGC for grading. Why? I suspect the NGC grades are going up a notch or two compared to the grade in the PCGS holder.
I'll agree with Pinnacle Rarities. If you are looking for really nice high grade coins they've got them. I've *almost* bought from them a couple of times, but my pocketbook talked me out of it.

Maybe they don't want their coins undergraded. Just a guess. Have you tried asking them? Turn around times may also have something to do with it.

I remember a few months back when I knew less than I did now, I asked a major web retailer if I bought a coin in a ngc slab, would you submit it for me to PCGS. If it did not cross over at the same grade, i would want a return.
no response. heh.
