How are ICG and SEGS with catching artificially toned coins?

  ICG is pretty good with it. I have seen an awful lot of questionable toning in SEGS holders, that's not an all out indictment, just an opinion.

  But in your description you are saying that SEGS agrees that it is AT. My question is, do they slab AT'd coins WITHOUT noting that they are AT? (i realize all the services will do this occaisionally, but as a rule you can trust PCGS and NGC, is it the same with ICG or SEGS?)

  ICG is so-so on spotting bad coins, SEGS however will routinely holder AT coins as well as altered coins without mention on the holder.

  Ive seen a few slip by in ICG...but about 80-90% are NT IMO. SEGS...I would have only use your own judgement...if theres anydoubt in your mind...its probably AT.

  ICG is very good at catching AT coins so if you looking to try to slip one by better not.

  ICG is pretty good, but you can slip one in on them by wrapping the coin with pictures of Mary Kate and Ashley.

  ICG is very good with Morgans,about as good as the 2 majors IMHO.

  Great coins are not cheap,and cheap coins are not great!
