I just went $57 not counting shipping, against a Trends of only $50 in 63/ $65 in 64 and was outbid. It appears someone besides me is sick of white dipped out non-original Morgans?

I think what you are seeing in the bid history is Morgannut2 placed two well intentioned bids that fell shy of the high bidders bid. Nothing unusual about that. In fact, there are many bidders that bid after the high bidder and fell short.

It does raise the bid but that's not shill bidding unless the intent is to raise the bid intentionally and lose never wanting to win the item in the first place.

No sir, how am I a lemming if the entire forum thinks the coin is fugly? And no I wanted to crack it out and put in in my AU-55 to MS-63 album that has a '81-P and 79-P (bought from Stuart of these boards) that have identical toning. I think the coin has real character and interest, even if it isn't "pretty". I stopped bidding near the Trends full retail, at the next higher grade--just was the most I felt it was worth myself--someone thought it was worth more, which is fine too.
