Reimaging continues. The pics are slightly dark and I may have to redo them.image

Not real great on the mirrors, but the surfaces are really nice with a little irridescent toning. PCGS PR67.

Sweet pictures. When you say "not real great on the mirrors", do you mean the picture didn't catch 'em, or the coin doesn't have much in the way of mirrors? Or both?

it don't have a lot of mirror on the coin.

Why do all 3cN's have weak lower ribbons on the rev? Seems like it looks that way on all that I've seen.

My honest guess... shallowest part of the design, and over aggressive die polishing image

Great coin! At least all details of the III are visible. The ribbon doesn't look bad. Compare that to most all MS 3 cent Nickels and you just gotta love proofs!

PR 67? That would be a good number for the virtual type set...

fantastic photos and superb coin i love it

    why?/

it is fully struck well as full as a strike as you can get for a 1882 proof three cent nick

also more importantly there are always tiny black fly speck and toning dots this coin has none of those

so extremely uncommon as such and with above average eye appeal

    i love itimageimage

I could take pictures like that, but I don't want to embarrass anyone here.

Am I the only one that thinks this coin looks like a business strike? The fields to have the same texture as the devices. I would expect a proof to at least have some contrast between the fields and the devices. Nice looking coin in any event.
