As you can see by lookin' in the lower left corner of my overused, crummy picture, it's a considerable upgrade from the 1806 I had on the vest.
I got this quarter at about the same time.
Now I have an extra Draped half and TWO extra Draped quarters. Woe is me.
... but still no Bust dollar. Yet.

I wonder how much other "holey lovin'" you gonna get here.

I need to get me one, now that I am collecting holey (Capped) Bust halves by date. (Not by die variety, but the Overton would still be cool to have.)

No, actually the person who sold me the coin had attributed it. I still need an Overton book myself...

Mine's a wee bit slicker.
I call it the "Stealth Eagle" variety.

I love them when they look like that.

Sadly, it looks like some chucklehead tried to remove a counterstamp from the obverse of the coin. This is a much bigger tragedy than the hole. (Which is of course no tragedy at all, if you're into Holey Lovin'.)

Can you tell what series I'm photographing today?

Very slowly but surely, after I get the holed selection propagated onto there, I'm thinking of actually photographing my 100+ San Diego Commemoratives and putting them up there

You win with that one, as I've said in earlier threads. An amazing coin that surely has a LOT of history in it. Like I said before, if you're EVER even remotely considering parting with it, please let me know...

I'll let you know when I upgrade the type, freeing this one for sale..

Wanna swap fer it, hmm?
That Flyer ROCKS!
I have a Feuchtwanger (previously posted in my crappy "collage" picture).
How 'bout some holey ancient gold with an Eliasberg pedigree, eh?

Please don't tell me you put 'em in 2 X 2's or flips in an album. *yawn*
You at least have a nice board to hang 'em on or somethin', yes?

<< <i>hey I think honestly you should tie a string in the hole of the coin and wear it out in public
Excuse the fact that it's a scan, but here's a set of coins on a crude bracelet strung with a piece of contemporary string. (It was a family heirloom which was passed down as it is now that I purchased)

<< <i>What're you using to store/display your collection? Not everybody is freak or geek enough to wear it, like some folks do.

It is mandatory that you post a picture of that, as well.
One of these days I will post pics of the vest, when I get it reassembled. (It's been in a state of flux since FUN 2004, which is the last time I wore it.))

<< <i>No wizzing here!
Very cool! Likely a charm on a bracelet at one time (Like most holed trimes were).

<< <i>This 20 cent is wizzed unfortunately. It has a cool die crack all along the top of UNITED.

These used to make me cringe, but now I think I can appreciate the history of these as love tokens, gifts, etc.
I still want to see that office shot with 1000 hooks!!!
