What do you think? A set of Franklin Proofs?
Here's an auction that claims to have a full set of 50-63 franklin proofs in a capitol holder. I'm working on this set too, I'm lacking the 50,51,52 proof coins and trying to pick up graded PF62's or even raw coins to complete my set. Boy these sure look like UNC's to me. What do you think?

Yeah, proofs usually don't have mint marks.
Russ, NCNE
I do not see any mintmarks
the bottom 2 photos look like they have very mild cameo
I would guess probably yes proof
this will probably go for $500-$700 won't it?
if you only want - need 3, why risk getting them all (since you are correct - they may be MS)
I remember looking at a 1951 proof set at a show - could not convince myself the half was proof

For the right price I don't worry about having too many. I've already have a full set of PCGS and NCG graded coins with the keys in PF64's. I'd just spin the extras off to the kids or grand kids.....no big deal. If I do buy raw on ebay on these key coins I'd have to have a chance to return them if they aren't right. Of course I'm in no hurry and can wait for a show, the coin shops here, or a post on this board. I found this set in my file cabinet and forgot I had it for several years....I must be getting old
I don't have a wife to keep me under control.....so anything pratical is out

I saw this auction as I am also looking for a 50 and 51 proof for my set. These are definitely not Proofs. I think the seller is using the term "proof" as a grading term instead of what it actually is. There are a lot of people out there that still refer to "proof" as the ultimate grade on a coin.
Also, the picture on the right, third down, clearly shows a mint mark. These are not proof coins.
The name is LEE!
The mintmarks are clear on at least three of them.
