Cool. When I was a kid it was a coin I always wanted but couldn't afford.

I love the inclusive design on the $2.50 and $5.00 Indians image

Very nice, I like this series short and not too expensive except the 11-D. A very nice example for AU.

Love this series. Its where I am looking to stake my next series. I have only the 11. Need the illusive 11-D.

I own a few of these - I too think they are a great series - and this one looks great to me. The photos make it a little hard to assess, but judging by the feathers in the headdress it looks like it has an nice strike.

I also was mezmerized by this type of coin when I was a child. When I got back into the hobby several years ago some of the first coins I bought were yjr 2.50 & 5.00 Indian . I can stare at those coins for hours- what beauty- I also love 10.00 Indians because as a child my "rich" aunt had one and only the adults were allowed to get near it. This added to the mystery. Thanks for the pics of the coin. I think I will get mine out and have a look. image thanks Don/mademan

One reason I like the $2 1/2 and $5 Indians is they are two of only three regular coin types (the buffalo nickel being the other) that portray real Native Americans. All the other coins showing Indians are really showing caucasian females wearing Indian headdresses.

  • She's a beaut.

That's on my want list, too. AU is the way to go. Big price jump in MS grades in this series.
