I've been enjoying the forum for a month and half and have now pitched 500 of my opinions!
Post on this thread a pic of a coin with toning, blast white, or colorful... MS or circulated... silver, gold or copper.. I will pick my "five" favorites and draw them from a hat. The winning draw will win the 1941-S PCGS MS66 shown below. The winner will be posted tomorrow night.

I have limited photography skills and not a whole lot of good pictures loaded. So here is the Ceylon quarter cent from my daughter Victoria's collection, once again.
(I am assembling her a set of Queen Victoria portrait coins dated 1901. She was born in 2001, a century after Queen Victoria's long reign ended).
There was a huge difference between scanner and camera on this one.
Here is a scan.
It is a tiny little coin, truly beautiful. I wish I could capture the true look of it. My photo caught some but not all of the colors, and none of the mirrors.
The eBay seller I won it from (for about ten bucks) obviously used a scanner. His pics were small and darkish. I got a real steal. In fact, I think this piece might possibly be a proof.

in the English Channel - while carrying this $10 East India Trading Company coin. It was
recovered in 1985. I've had it since shortly after that.
