Cheap thrills: in change find just now.

Pics don't do it justice, it's a really pretty original deep bronze color with honest wear. Spots above the nice clear date (1925) don't show up at all in real life. I'm not a Lincoln guy, but I'd call it a strong VG-8.

Not bad for 80 years old, huh? image

Are you going to put that one on eBay, or keep it for your personal collection?

The thrill of making a buck off of personal items that once belonged to you gets old pretty quickly. I want people to like me for me, not for my image.

  • Schweet find! image I haven't found anything older than mid sixties Lincolns recently, although my grandfather recieve a '44 Wheatie in change from Subway a couple days ago. Not worth more than face value, but finding wheaties in change can be just as exciting as filling in a hole in a set you never thought you would finish. image

Slightly OT: Going to the store the other day, I see the reverse side of a wheatie stuck in road tar next to the curb. I put my face to the street to make sure there was no "VDB" on the reverse! Still there if anyone is interested.
