<< <i>My, how the skunks come out of the wall when they think there's no one to refute them. Where were the rest of you when Eric, Era and Barry Stuppler pretty much brought down ACG alone? Who among you are taking on NTC, PCI, NNN, SDGS and the rest of the bottom feeders? >>
FYI, Eric, Ira, and Barry Stuppler were not alone in bringing down ACG. Eric started documenting practices of ACG and their largest customers over four years ago, mostly through posts on rec.collecting.coins. Some current forum members here remember that well. The first draft of ACG's frivolous lawsuit named 46 people, including myself, as defendants. Some of us were included in that suit based solely on posts from early 2001 before K6AZ was well known on this forum.
I have learned more about less-than-ethical grading companies, auctions, and dealers from Barry Stuppler, Ira Stein, and especially Eric, than from all others combined.
Yes, I would like to make new collectors aware of deceptive practices by sellers of NTC, PCI, and other bottom-feeder grading services, but would rather spend my disposable income on coins than on lawyers' fees, now that a precedent has been set to sue collectors for nasty things posted online about a grading company or dealer.
I will miss Eric's contributions here, even those when he went over the top.

KlectorKid, do you know that Eric's SS number was plastered all over the net and I can't remember one of you idiots complaining about it? We all have our little cliques, don't we?
<< <i>KlectorKid, do you know that Eric's SS number was plastered all over the net and I can't remember one of you idiots complaining about it? We all have our little cliques, don't we? >>
Gee, was that done here by a fellow board member?
Oh, no, that's right, it was done by ACG on THEIR website, a company whom he was at the time involved in legal proceedings with.
When you want to make asinine comparisons, at least keep them in perspective. If you don't grasp the difference between the situations, doing anything short of ignoring you is pointless.
i gotta tell ya, i really, really come to this site to talk coins and learn more about coins, but................................the entertainment value rocks!!! why would you leave to watch a video?? i stay logged on with the TV going and multi-task. right now it's sweet little J-Lo in Anaconda, that lucky snake!!
If MrEureka's proposal is intended to stimulate intellectual debate regarding the ethics/legalities of coin trading, then by all means, do it. I for one believe that that was his intent with the original set. It matters not a whit to me that he posted 18 or so different scenarios in a very short time.
If, however, MrEureka's proposal is intended to rub K6AZ's face in it, that's a different story.
<< <i> Geeez Keets.......Did you post that in your Howard Dean yell?
It's like Shylock posted a week or so ago about this board, at least this thread sure is. People sure line up to kiss certain dealer's butts around here no matter what they do.
Sure what Eric did was not too kosher but was it right for him to be continually antagonized on this board for the past few days for expressing his view (albeit grumpy view about Eurethra's threads??). When I saw their war on here it appeared to me at that time that it was not Eric that was initiating the trouble. Bochiman said it best on the open forum earlier today that basically it takes 2 to tango.
Now most of us are adults here at least going by age and a silly assed thread like this is started and a thread is started over at NGC by someone who is supposed to be a respected Dealer, someone that we collectors are to look up to.
I'll be about the only person that has the gonads to say this on here but this thread and that thread at NGC are nothing short of pure childish behavior and it certainly doesn't reflect well on the originator. >>
No, Goose, you won't be the only one. I'll say it too..... Andy, you chose to have your attack at someone's expense. A very human thing to do, but a very childish one. Would have been best if everyone left it between Eric and Doug and then just left it alone....that is all that needed to be done. Same result may have occurred, but no one needs to go running around puffing their chests our, or taking digs in at people for it.
Andy, I've heard you are a good dealer, but tell me.....do you act the same way you do on the board? Do you like to take little pokes at people and push their buttons there as well?
Keets....you like to do your little "holier than thou" act as well....and I am glad that you admit that you poked on Eric because you knew you could get a rise out of him. First thing I have seen you admit. You like to be quite the negative little trooper and hide it, partially, behind a few tidbits of knowledge.
As a collector, I like to learn. As a collector, I like to buy from people I can trust. Damn, for all her mouth, you don't see Laura acting like you stupid little children, do you? If I had the money for her coins, I would damn well buy from her. She speaks her mind and isn't a petty little whiner like I am seeing here.
Maybe there is a reason that "so many big dealers" don't post here....maybe it is because they are smart enough to realize that they might look like moronic little pissants and be thought of as childish, so they choose to not show up here and keep customers.
btw...Andy....put my vote in for one who didn't mind your threads but thought that the way/timing that you did it was arrogant and shouldn't have been done. Not sure if you did it to tweak on Eric or to knock something else off the front page (I will give you credit in the area of being smart/devious....you always have an agenda for what you do), but, if you cared about reactions of the board, then maybe you would have spaced them out.
I voted no as well, although, I saw the first hypothetical post over there and the reaction was kind of funny. However, I think that to pursue it further would detract from the original good intent that you had. Let it go.

My favorite two dealers have sworn off these coin chat boards because it's too time consuming. Do the rest of us have too much idle time on our hands?

I had these ready yesterday morning but had to go to WORK and didn't have time to post it. I saw the little battle going on and wanted to make light of it a bit. Now I see Erics gone and this place won't be near as interesting without him as he was someone I could flame as well as respect. I'm sorry things turned out the way they did.
I figure I'm going to post this nonense anyway because I can't sleep right now and I have too much free time on my hands.

I read most all of the related threads and could'nt see any reason to get worked up about it the way K6 did.
Dragging up smoeones past financial problems and posting them for all to see was not necessary and IMO definitely over the line.
I hate to see K6 banned though, because he did have a lot to offer in the realm of Morgans and I felt he was an asset here.
