1922-D Peace dollar on eBay with nice crack

It isn't mine. It looks like a VAM 15A (formerly 1L) or a 2AA. Looks like a nice crack/break through the Y, hair, and down to the U in TRUST. Not sure what's going on near her lip.... dent or break. I'm not buying it, but thought it looked cool for $13 BIN and free shipping.

    I couldn't tell nutthin' from that picture.

    (Aside from the additional fact that I couldn't recognize VAM varieties if you took a slingshot and plunked me between the eyes with 'em.)

    For me, it's tough from a picture. That's a common place for a die crack on Peace dollars... through the Y. I usually go to the ashmore site and look at the photos, and/or check the VAM book updates. After looking at the two pictures below, I'm not really sure what the eBay coin is!

    I'm not sure either. But for $12.98.... the risk of loss is minimal, and the potential for gain is pretty high.
