Checking the headers I found that it really did originate from PayPal. The thing is I did not request a debit card. My first thought was that my account had been hacked, so I changed my password. After changing it, I called PayPal.
The CSR told me that "I'm part of a select group" that was picked to get a card. That's marketing lingo for "We're sending them to everybody with an account in good standing who hasn't asked for one and hoping they stick."
I suggested to the guy that PayPal may want to remove the language that states the user requested it, or they're going to have a lot of freaked out people on their hands.

I use mine all the time for the 1.5% rebate, but I think that is going away next year when they raise the dollar requirements for a premier business account.

since 8/1/6
No one ever sends me anything. I don't even get invited to help the guy in Ethiopia ( or wherever he is this month) get his money.

I think i'll send it in first to be graded- MS70 should get a shot! will never take it out of its holder either....

EXACTLY!!!!
Most of the coin dealers here accept, and even encourage or require, paypal as a form of payment for thier sales. Paypal charges us for this service. In fact, paypal charges me 2.9% for all the money coming into my account. By using the card, I've cut that business expense in half.
<< <i>Still looks like a scam to me. The addresses always say PayPal. Did you go into the PayPal site and ask the question? >>
It's legitimate.

I hadn't heard of this. What are they changing it to?
the wife can't use it to run up any bills, since when the money runs out, the charge is no longer approved.
I believe they already announced a change. Only 1% for people who sign up now. 1.5% for people who had before
a certain date.
To get the juice, who have to use the card as a credit card (sign the receipt,) not a debit card (pin number)
The rebate will probably go away once they get me used to using it.
