Prices for Satin Finish coins on Ebay are crazy!!

I would like everyones opinion of what is and what may happen to the prices of these Satin Finish coins. On ebay right now there are half dozen Satin Finish nickels in MS68 and 69 that are going fron $20.00 to $140.00 dollars with a day left. I thought that a large number of these coins may hit a lofty grade of MS 68 or 69 and that the prices may be low. The 20.00 I can see but the $140.00 seem extreme. I am open to being educated(or ripped apart) on my logic. My experience is limited in regards to market dynamics of new coins hitting the market so help me in seeing the light. thanks Don/mademan

    I received ten of my mints sets yesterday. Only opened one of them and both P and D mint coins looked extremely satiny and looked like all of them would go 68 or 69. There won't be anything even conditionally rare in 2005 for mint state coins. Of course that won't stop the hypsters.

    Get out your 5x loup and study these areas...

    1c coat sleave, forehead, memorial pillars, memorial roof line, rims
    5c Bison Jefferson Face, Buffalo Horn, Buffalo Body, rims
    5c Ocean Jefferson Face, rims
    10 Face/Hair, Torch
    25C (ALL) George's face/hair, rims
    CA Muir's arm/leg
    MN The Bird
    OR
    KA Buffalo Horn
    WV
    50c Kennedy face & hair, Eagle's head, wing edges, rims
    $1 Face, shawl, baby head, rims, eagle breast

    Then compare results to recently graded 67 & 68 coins. I suspect you will not find your set composed of purely 68/69 coins. If it is, submit it all!

    I will say, I like the new finish, but the nickels in mine were crap - big scrapes. Oh well!
