Question about submitting a coin to be reholdered.

I recently bought a 23-P Peace dollar in a PCGS OGH. I picked it up because I really liked the toning on the reverse and the price was right. At some point someone tried to clean the holder and severally scratched it to a point that it is difficult to see the detail of the coin on one side. Anyway my question is. If I send it in to be reholdered, can I request that the reverse be displayed toward the front? And I would guess that it would not be looked at for regarding and if that is what I wanted that I would have to submit it for regarding and not reholdering.

Thanks!

You can request that it be holdered reverse-out (write it in big letters), but a grader will have to approve that it warrants holdering as such.

And yes, it won't be regraded unless you pay for it.

  • OK, that makes sense. Not like it would be the end of the world if it came back observe out. I’ll just be happy to see the whole thing clearly. Thanks Jeremy.
