    Not in unc - I've seen way more $5 than $1. But that's just my perception, not necessarily factual.

    That's why my original "incoherent" post referred to XF and AU grades.

    I would assume that "Old World" visitors to their rebellious relatives would have either gotten some gold to take back to "Jolly Olde" ....... or ....... that the gold did more duty as "reserve" transactions than ordinary day-to-day dollars.
