Who Is Your Numismatic Nemesis ?

Is it the dealer to whom you have given your want list?
Perhaps when many of the coins you needed came up in auction he ran you up to your max
on each and every bid ?
Is it the dealer who gagged you on an upgrade for your Registry Set.
After all it will be the most expensive 1 point upgrade you ever bought.
After all you are "The Target"
Is it PCGS
Perhaps they didn't give you the grade you expected ?
After all you will see only what you want to see.
Is it the guy who is #1 in the Set Registry and you can only be #2
Is it Velveeta/aka Laura Sperber/aka Legend Coin ?
After all she keeps throwing bait out there and all you wannabe chumps go for it ?
Did I leave anyone out?

P.S. Cool Indian cent collection, I'm jealous!
It's MadMarty (he finds all the good coins both lightside and darkside).
And yes, of course, it's just hypothetical

I don't have any registry to worry about, my dealer knows what I want - but if the price isn't there I won't buy, and I really don't give an "F" about what PCGS thinks a coin should be.
Kidding aside, I am probably my own worst collecting enemy.
You need to become your own collecting best friend!
Since I collect for my own enjoyment, there is no nemisis.

Actually there are a few others who might be even worse with beating me to the punch. There
are some extremely active people out there.
Please refer to the quote in my sig line...

In a good way, though, because he is a classy guy who loves coins.
Stewart,
YOU have been my nemesis since 1989! In fact, after I come home from FUN every year my wife asks, "Did you get to play with your nemesis, Stewart?" She's been hearing your name for many years now.

Despite them all, I still bought this baby:
No nemesis here, other than perhaps my inability to tolerate minor spots on otherwise beautiful coins. I said "no" to this pretty Eliasberg simply because of the little microscopic dot rt obv field. Needless to say, I have several times wished I had instead said "yes." In hand, this is a beautiful coin
