  • I got scammed last week from pay pal, but realized it 5-10 minutes later and called PP then called C1 and canceled my card. later on the 13th someone charged 195 bucks worth of stuff to my C1 account.image didn't find out about the new charge until this morning when I logged onto my account to pay my bill, just got the new cards tuesday.

I knew something smelled fishy, I was looking at the Http address and it looked like PP I even opened up a new browser to check the address. Only after answering their questions, did I bother to read in the FAQ's about fraud. "we'll never ask you for your credit card number or private information in a e-mail" doot!!!!!

All well live and learn that's life at least they don't have my government pin or bank account #. my question is how did the scammer have the same address as PP? It looked like it redirected to some fake Site then after loading it was a normal http it even had the s for secure.
Needless to say I've learned a lesson about PP.

I buy prolly 500-1000 bucks a month of "stuff" online and have for about 4 years without incident. I pay my car/house/ins/CC bills and manage my checking/savings/403B from the net. I thought I knew better.image

Just to avoid confusion, you didn't get scammed from PayPal; you got scammed from a 13 year old in Bulgaria.
