Where to find nice love tokens?

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 22,702 ✭✭✭✭✭
Aside from eBay, does anyone know where to find love tokens online? Craton had a good suggestion of buying one as a birthday present, but the only one on eBay with her initials is somewhat crude, not elegant.

I'm looking for an L, LMH, LH, or Laura if you might know where to look image

Thanks!

Jeremy

Jeremy -- is there a woman in your life you want to tell us about? With those initials, I'm guessing she's not related!

Of course, if you're shy, you can always tell me about her at Summer Seminar.

    Ebay is where I look.

I once got a 3-cent nickel in a junk lot that had the obverse planed off, but they never made it into a love token. I took it to a jewelry store and had 'em engrave it with a friend's initials, since he'd just bought my old type set.

I had a "Lillian" 1887 Seated dime, but that is my mother and great-grandmother's name, so I gave it to my mom, who wears it on her watchband.

An "L" might be doable in time.

Let me ask a guy I know who collects them Jeremy.

A good place to start is http://www.lovetokensociety.net, the official website of the Love Token Society. LTS puts out a bi-monthly newsletter than contains many tokens for sale. Other than that, eBay, shows, and the occasional piece in a major auction, they can be difficult to find!

Jeremy, I was your age once. I used that lie too.

Ask Bill Fivaz at Summer Seminar. I have a sister named Laura and he parted with one with that name for me once, back when you thought girls were still icky. He may have another duplicate he could spare.

    Hope she's cute!

I was looking at the price list from this web site today. This seller has about 25 Love Tokens on their price list.
    Hope it helps.
