Any help on this French ecu?

I can't find this one anywhere. Can anyone identify it?

SIT . NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM and the BB mint mark leads me to Strassbourg, France but I haven't been able to get more than that.

Yep, same here. 'New silver money' was a term used on several other European countries' coins at that time as well.

I've come up empty on the obv. Tried to trace thru the legend and/or the 6 pointed star, nothing. Nothing for neighboring countries or colonies either.

As spoon pointed out, it's not an ecu, but a 33 Sols.

Check p. 156 of the most recent 18th Cent Krause KM#371.

Thanks guys! Just got home from work to find your new info.
The coin, according to the owner, is as big as an ecu (1 5/8 inches) but less than a third of the face value (120 sols = 1 ecu)?
The problem is that I still have a '93 1st edition and it doesn't list any 33 sols coins. I'll have to remedy that before too long I guess.
Can you give me the cat values for a 1707 in Fine and Very Fine?
