That one's mine (along with that dollar).
Just for fun I recently sent one to PCI.
It came back, "Cheerios Promo" on the insert, MS68 RED.

Nope just a cheerios cent. They had it and didn't know what it was and gave it to me.

Correct. It's the cardboard & plastic around it that makes special.
Find an ANACS certified AU-58 or lower Cheerios cent.

I know why -- I was going to PM you and ask if you'd part with that Cheerios Sackie -- but I doubt you will

<< <i>How much have they been selling for on eBay? Anyone know? >>
To be honest, I've never seen a slabbed Cheerios coin sell on eBay. And I've been looking.
I sold a regular old Cherrios cent a few years ago -- got about three dollars for it, IIRC.
<< <i>i thought those were wide AM? or is that what you call type 1? >>
The Cheerios cents all have the regular business strike close AM reverse (type 1) not the proof hub wide AM reverse (type 2)

Agreed, I left mine alone!
