I usually buy three.One for my mint set collection,one to bust open and put in albums,and one for a spare.

three, I pick the best set and bust it open for my albums, and 2 of the best quarter sets go into my intercept state quarter albums. this leaves one set to either trash or just put in my box.

I'm in for 5. One for my mint set collection, one for my Dansco albums and three "just in case." 2004 showed that it is a good idea to have a few extras.
