Shipping date for 2005 Clad Proof Sets is now 6/11/05

Does the fact that the 2005 Proof sets will not be available for shipping until 6/11/05 mean anything?

The 2005 Proof set was released on March 3rd. I have one already in my collection. The 2005 Silver Proof set is due to be released on June 7th. Below is a link to the schedule....

If you go to the Web site for US Mint....the new shipping date for the Clad Proof Sets is 6/11/05...which seems odd for a set that has been out for a while. So I am wondering if it means anything...i.e close to selling out, etc.?

What it most likely means is that the mint made just so many of them since they were available. Now, they ran out of that stock but have already switched gears over into other things (ie...silver proof sets or mint sets, as well as other things) to build up stock.

They aren't going to "run out" of the proof sets but it will take a little time for them to switch back to making them.

    Basically, they are juggling items.

    Hence the delayed ship date.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Looks like anything Bison is selling very well. Even though they made a bunch of two-roll sets, apparantly they must be selling them, so there is no lack of demand.

Same with these proofs, they did this last month also, when I ordered they were delayed for a week or so. They must be selling like hotcakes.

I would expect the same for the Unc. with the new finish, I bet there will be very high demand, cause even if they make a couple million Unc sets, that will still be far less than the 600 million regular strikes.
