I don't see this too often

I don't see much commentary on new coin books. Anybody read a new book lately? If so, do you recommend it and if not, why not?

If you choose a particular series, I don't think that there are any books for beginners. The Red Book is great for beginners and veterans alike, but if you want a guide to Buffaloes, or Bust Halves, or Morgans, you just got out of the hordes of beginners and are becomming a real numismatist
    I collect circulated U.S. silver
