Of course I know better now, the Kaline was a GEM 9, the Banks a GEM 10 both from Kane04, the MAthews was from a seller who doesn't really sell cards, so I figure it was legit. I wish i knew who I bought the skowron from. i also have a koufax trimmed, but from back in the day, and a Jack Parks. Why would someone trim him?

I hate kane04. Jeremy B. is a tool! I always wondered how much stuff he has and how much
stuff he butchers per day. He has everything....gem grading, psa, bgs, etc. Probably all the stuff
that got turned down by the legit company ends up in GEM.

Last time Kane04 was mentioned, I commented and actually got a call from him. I actually had a good conversation with him and he knows a lot of people in the hobby. So, what's the scoop? I told him the bottom line is that if he deals in Gem, he is passing off a lot of bad stuff. But, that's the end of story.
Does he just sell this stuff or is he part of the "process" - if you know what I mean?

I've only had one card from gem elite - an 87 fleer bonds that I bought in a collection. Of course, PSA rejected it. That was 2-3 years ago when I was just getting into this.

The other day I found it in my closet and had to laugh. When I measured it, the card measured a full 1/32" less vertically on the right border than the left. Not exactly the work of a professional. Today I would spot that kind of hack job a mile away, but at the time...

Good point. I guess he's the only that knows....but those poor beautiful cards.
RipublicaninMass, those trimmed beauties would look great on my office shelf.

We talked about this before - I accidentally bought one - was new to ebay and saw the gem 10 and was thinking PSA 10! Didn't even look at the scan - what an idiot!! When I got the card, it was a 1/16" short T/B! To make a long story short - Gem actually remimbursed me for the card! No crap!!! That's when I told my Kane04 story of how we got into it about the card.
    Life is very, very interesting.

See gamejerseybuyer on ebay. That id is NARU now, but that's the buyer id kane was using in the past.
