Different types of coins

Hi all.

Where can I learn what the different types of individual coins means, such as the SBA dollar, type 1 or 2 for example. I see this on a lot of coins, where they have different types for some common coins. Is there a place that will show me what these different types actually look like?

For "Major" types you can refer to the Red Book. For lesser known types or other minor varieties, you may have to refer to specific reference books, such as a VAM book for Morgan and Peace Dollars or an Overton Half Dollar book. I suggest starting with the Red Book and expanding your interest from there.
