Peace Dollar back from PCGS

I was a little disappointed about this grade. I though at least 62.

Wow you dont see MS61 that much, try again it might come back a 3.

I cant quite figure that one out. It does have a quite a few marks, but I don't know if it has MS61 marks. Some other guesses might be an barely noticeable cleaning, or it could just be a REAL nice AU (some trace of wear somewhere hard to identify) that the rewarded with an MS designation.

Still a great coin, even at 61....I would definately retry for a upgrade...

Yes they seem to be grading scared because it's a key date. I'd try a Presidential review or a resubmit.

From the pics the coin does look better than a 61.

If it weren't so valuable in the higher grades I would keep it just for the grade on the slab. You just don't see that many 61's.

Probably would be worth a try on regrade.

Send it back in a few months. Maybe by then PCGS will figure out how to grade coins again...

The pic looks better than a 61 to me.Maybe they saw smoething we can't.

Thanks everyone for your comments on this coin. I really thought this one would get a 62 or even a 63. I thought 62 because of the key date, but if it was a common coin it would be a 63.
