1990-D Roosevelt with no reeded edges?

Found this in my pocket today, never seen one like it. Any one know anything about these type of errors? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

The coin appears to have been altered either by repeated taps with a spoon or hammer or possibly spinning in a dryer.

Yeah, the thickness of the coin at the rim certainly seems like the coin was rolled excessively.

Wouldn't that leave a flat edge, mine has rolled edges......besides 'spoons' is what I do with my wife at night! imageimageimage

In order for that dime to be a Mint error, and minted without edge reeding, it would have to have been struck outside of a collar, or 'broadstruck'. It is the collar that imparts the edge reeding. If it were broadstruck, it would be larger in diameter than a normal dime. The others are right - your coin appears to have been modified outside of the Mint. It looks like the edge was repeatedly struck, or 'spooned', giving it that high rim.
