I've been watching for a nice EF/AU one for some time for my stash.
What are the top three keys ?

1885, 1886, 1912-s
For obvious reasons, the 1913 is in a complete different layer of the atmosphere.
Anything with gunk on it will also.
The 1900 will also be replaced as there is a sizeable rim nick on the reverse.
But for now, it sure is fun to look at.

Yeah, I guess I shoulda included that in the post above.
I've been keepin my eyes peeled, but I really wanted the better 1886 first.

I love the Liberty Head nickel. You have put together a very nice set and I appreciate your posting it.
It was the "Barber" nickel that got me into collecting again, after a fifteen year break.

I think the 1912-S is way underpriced relative to the 1885 / 1886, but that's not what "Mr. Market" says.

Sam, I think what happened in this case was that the 85 and 86 were not heavily saved, but due to the fact that the 12-s was the first branch mint nickel, they were saved in large quanitities. So a coin with about 1/6 the mintage, actually has many more survivors, hence, lower price of admission.
Now, that said, I would also agree that the 12-s is a great coin to get into. I might even make an effort to put together a grading set of 12-s nickels.
I think this is an under-appreciated set, so even though I have a 1912-S, I still look out for them.
Not to brag, but the 1886 in my collection is a real beauty and the funny thing is I have no idea where I got it! I started on these about 25 years ago and for many years they languished in the safe deposit box while I concentrated on work and family.
I had a client who was a sort of a "vest pocket" dealer and he'd come by the office and say, "You need to buy this, it's good" so that's what I'd do. Too bad, he passed away many years ago. I suspect that's where the '86 came from - can't imagine finding it loose in my travels.
I have a Liberty nickel set that I've neglected since I've been hunting type coins.
Although my set looks just opposite of yours - my '12-S looks like all your other coins and all my other coins look like your '12-S!!
