Is there a market beyond bulk silver for circulated early Franklins?

I just picked up a hoard of coins including circulated rolls of Franklin haves by date. Late 40's and early 50's. Is there much value above silver.

If you were to sell them at a show, it would be a matter of finding the dealer who pays the most on junk silver. If you had a better date, in an XF/AU grade, maybe you could get a little more for the coin, if you shopped it around.

My local dealer buys all franklins at 90% silver price, on occasion a few better date's will be mixed in AU. I will sell an occasional 49-d,49-s, 51-s, 53-s, and 55 for a little premium, but they are a tough sell. They usually have to be choice AU's to get a premium.

Since Frankies were so rarely collected for so many decades and were prime candidates for melt...I always wondered what that did to the actual population.

Anybody have any ideas on how many frankies survive since they kinda had their own personal Pittman act.
    Have a nice day
