EDIT: Even if you don't know, take a guess! We do all the regular customer service stuff, turn ons, turn offs, transfers, billing, reconnects, gas leaks, address/phone number updating, etc.!
I will donate $5 in your name to the charity of your choice, if you win. I got this idea from the plastic giveaway thread. I work in a call center for a natural gas company. Any time a customer calls, we note their account, describing the reason for the call and any actions we took or changes we made. If, at the end of a call, I note:
PER JAMES BROWN PTP 86.02 S/O BY 6/1 ADV OF DEF
What have I done for this customer? An extra $5 if you can translate my remarks into English

You advised the customer that they owe $86.02 or their service will be shut off on 6/1, advised of deficiency.

I picked the USO as the charity. They do a lot to help the moral of our armed forces. Follow the link if you would like to help out with a donation.
Back in college I received pink notices from L.A.'s DWP (Department of Water and Power) saying they'd shut off my electricity, so you'd have to give them a date when you would pay and they'd leave it on.
Even the worst deadbeats pay their electric bill, because they do shut it off if you don't pay.
