This AT'd DavidLawrence listing made me chuckle.

Nothing against David Lawrence Rare Coins. They are good guys in my book, but this listing made me laugh. They are selling a barber dime that ANACS net graded for Artificial Toning, and in their description it says "pretty multi colored toning". link

Yeah, I guess it's the "you have to say something nice" syndrome.

They just wanted to let you know that they did a really good job of AT the coin.image

Not a bad looking coin. It is a little dark though.

maybe the unnatural AT colors are apparent in person (hard to tell anything of color or luster when using scanners) btw, is scanner light florescent?

DLRC's pictures are notoriously bad for showing lustre and color... I can't see what might be artificial with that coin, but my guess is, in-hand, it would be much easier to tell.
