Morgan VAM questions - 1921-S

I recently posted about my new discoveries. I have some questions about the 1921-S 1M. It has the die break in the lower loop of the second S in STATES (similar to some 21-D VAMs).
Here's the deal... I had to take a road trip today and stopped at a hobby shop that sells a few coins. I saw a 1921-S Morgan dollar that was severely clashed. It has "hot lips". It's also heavily polished on both sides to remove some of the clashing. It has the same bean-shaped die break as the VAM 1M!!! It's not as noticeable, but it's there and in the same exact location. Even more confusing... this coin looks like the 21-S 1D listed in Leroy's updates. Same polishing lines. If any of you have the update photos, you can even see a tiny die crack in the right wreath. It's on my new coin too.
Now I'm thinking I picked up a 21-S 1D today... and because of the bean-shaped break, it might be a late die state of the 1M recently discovered.... which may be really be a 1D1 or something. Or is the die break in multiple 21-S coins (like the 21-D's)? Maybe there was a small break in a master die and it spread to the 21-D's and 21-S's. I think I'm on VAM overload.
I've seen lots of clashed Morgans, but not many from 1921. Is it less common in the last year? Anyone have a 21-S VAM 1D that they can check for clashing and a die break in the S?

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
I took a quick photo through a loupe. I don't have my microscope at the moment. This is the break in the lower S of the new coin. This link is the 1M from a week ago (also my icon).
The "hot lips" on my 21-S are not that great. It looks like normal clashing near the lips, plus machine doubling... the top of the upper lip, top of the lower lip, and top of the chin look machine doubled.
