Do You Ever Purchase a Coin (or Medal) Simply Because You Didn't Even Know it Existed?

I love it when I happen upon a medal I've never seen before! They make me weak. I can't resist!
I just picked up this beauty off of Teletrade on Sunday:

Do you find yourself spotting something you've never seen before, liking it (a lot!) and buying it without really knowing it's value?

  • Yep, I saw that one and had serious thoughts about bidding. I figured it would go for more than i could afford so i didn't. image

    $210, wow.

Only a few years ago you could pick up medals you've never seen before for eight or ten dollars.

This one is cool. And probably quite scarce.

  • Yeah I bought a $5 CDN Maple leaf when I first saw one.

    Edit:Ohhhhh that's pretty.

I'd give you the world, just because...

Speak to me of loved ones, favorite places and things, loves lost and gained, tears shed for joy and sorrow, of when I see the sparkle in your eye ...
and the blackness when the dream dies, of lovers, fools, adventurers and kings while I sip my wine and contemplate the Chi.
